When paypal sends the code to verify, everytime I put in the 'correct' code it tells me the code is wrong
1. error message on one account is: sorry we can't update your account please wait a few hours and try updating. I'm waiting for days and the error message is not changing
2. error message on other account is: the code is wrong - try again. I had the code send 5 times - it is defenitely the correct number that I put in. But every time it tells me that the number is wrong.

Let me provide some information to help resolve your PayPal bank connection error in QuickBooks Online.
Error 185 means your financial institution has additional security requirements you need to check like re-enabling the 2FA directly in your PayPal bank account.
Let's try to log-in to your actual PayPal Bank account then enable the two factor Authentication. Then, go back to QuickBooks Online and update the bank connection and see if it will go through successfully.

This error appeared to me in July and it has still not been resolved. Unacceptable for accounting software!
