How do you remove the previous accountant and add a new one from quickbooks?

You can remove an accountant user on file by following these steps.
- Go to the Gear icon and select Manage users.
- Select the Accountants or Accounting firms tab.
- Find the accountant you want to remove.
- From the Action column, select Delete.
- Select Delete.
However, if the accountant is listed as a Primary Admin user on file, you may need to contact them so that they can transfer the Primary Admin access to another user on the file.

Last resort, you can purchase a 3rd party service to migrate data to a new QBO account.
