Can I run a report on the expenses description only? I have a description as "Grant" (for example) and I want to just see those expenses.

Howdy, jackie-sistershi.
You can pull up Transaction Detail by Account. From there, you can customize the settings and filter the Transaction Type and Memo/Description to show the description of the expenses only. I'll help you walk through the steps. Here's how:
- Go to Reports on the left panel.
- Enter Transaction Detail by Account in the search bar.
- Select the Report period and click the Settings icon.
- Mark check the Transaction Type and Memo/Description.
You can also export the report to excel to filter the transaction with "Grant" in the memo only.
I've got these articles for reference:

Hello jackie-sistershi,
Each QuickBooks Online subscription plan has different reports you can run. You might have the basic or Simple Start version that is why you have limited reports. You can try running the Journal report by going under the For my accountant section under the Reports tab.
Here's how:
- Click on the Reports tab.
- Scroll down to For my accountant section.
- Click on Journal.
- Select a Report period, or click on Customise to add more rows/columns.
- Click on Run report.
You can also save your customised reports for future reference.
