Welcome to the QuickBooks Community forum, Arc.
Finding your license number depends on how you purchased QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Before proceeding, are you looking for the license number for installation, or do you need help with downloading the program? The license number is needed only during installation. If you’re downloading the program, you won’t need the license number yet. You can start by downloading the setup file from the QuickBooks website and installing it whenever you’re ready.
Now, I'll share below how you can locate the license number:
- For a downloaded product, check your purchase confirmation email for the license number, or log into your Intuit account under Products & Services to find it.
- If you purchased QuickBooks on CD or from a retail store, the license number is on the scratch-off label in the original packaging next to the UPC.
- ProAdvisors can view software information in the ProAdvisor section of QuickBooks Online Accountant.
- If you registered your QuickBooks software, use our License Look Up Tool or visit your account management portal (CAMPS) to get your product and license number.
For more details, check out this article: Download QuickBooks Desktop.
