How can I get certified as a bookkeeper in Colombia if ProAdvisor Academy is only available in the US? Is it possible?

I am from Colombia, but I want to certify myself with QuickBooks, and I only see the QuickBooks Online Accountant Certification. However, I noticed there are other certifications available, and when I try to access ProAdvisor Academy, it shows that it is only available in the United States. Can I still get certified as a Colombian? How can I do it?

Getting Started

While the ProAdvisor program is presently accessible only in the United States and certain other global regions, you can still pursue the QuickBooks Online Accountant Certification to enhance your expertise as a Colombian user, Keevin. Let me walk you through signing up for QBOA so that you can begin your training and prepare for the certification examination.

 

The Proadvisor program is currently offered in the USA, Puerto Rico, Canada, Australia, and the UK. Also, the ProAdvisor Academy is only available in the US. However, you can register for a QBOA account at no cost to access the training and take the certification exam, but please know that your profile won't be published on the Proadvisor website.

 

Here's how to do that:

 

  1. Go to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/.
  2. Scroll down at the bottom of the page and choose Other Countries under the Select a Country drop-down.
  3. Select the South America tab and choose Colombia.
  4. Another window will pop up, and select QuickBooks for Accountants under the Accountants drop-down menu.
  5. Scroll down until the Ready to experience QuickBooks Online Accountant? Then click Sign up.
  6. To create an Intuit Account, enter the necessary information on the fields and follow the onscreen instructions to sign in.
  7. Once logged in to your QBOA account, hover your mouse on the Training tab on the left panel to Get started with the Introduction to QBOA and Take exam.
