We would like to export a list of our customers, edit details (change parent) and then import the list back into QuickBooks, can this be done?
We noticed that we have 2 parent customers that are the same one is called 'Retailers' the other 'Retailer' because there are multiple sub customers under each parent we are unable to merge the 2 parent customers. Is there a way we can export a list of customers to excel, edit the parent and re-upload the list?

Getting started
Welcome to the Community, 1accounts-arnhem!
You'll have to remove the sub-customers linked to each parent customer before merging them in QuickBooks Online. Here's how to remove sub-customer from the list:
- Click on the Sales tab.
- Choose Customers.
- Locate the sub-customer name.
- Click on Edit.
- Untick box for Is a sub-customer.
- Click on Save.
- Repeat the same process for other sub-customers.
Once done, you can merge the two parent customer after.
Furthermore, here's how you can export the customers via excel in QBO.
- Click on the Sales tab.
- Select Customers.
- Click on the Export Icon just right above ACTION column.
- The file will be saved under your Downloads folder and ready for use or editing.
