Employees and payroll
I understand how that could be frustrating, @ascherbuilding. It's important to have our payroll forms aligned properly, and I'm here to ensure you can print your 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC in QuickBooks Online successfully.
Have you tried performing the suggested steps provided by my colleagues above? If not, make sure the general alignment from the PDF settings applies the following changes:
- Page Scaling is set to None.
- Ensure that Auto-Rotate and Center is unchecked.
- Ensure that the Choose Paper Source by PDF page size is checked.
After that, go back to the Prepare 1099 section and select the "No, it doesn't line up" option. See this for the instructions:
- Go to the Prepare 1099 page, and select Finish preparing 1099s.
- Hit No, I'll print and mail.
- Choose 1099 and print a sample page, then click No, it doesn't line up.
- If it's already aligned correctly, click on Yes, looks good!
- Hit Next.
- Select Done to complete printing 1099.
If you're still experiencing the same problem, update, repair, or re-install Adobe Reader/Acrobat. This prevents common issues when printing.
Lastly, I'm adding this link about the QuickBooks Year-end guide for you to complete your end-of-year tasks.
