Employees and payroll
I'm delighted to have you in the Community today, @maurice6168. I'll be glad to walk you through how you can change a class assigned to your employee in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To edit your employees' class, you'll want to go to the Payroll settings and then scroll down to the Accounting section. I'll input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:
- Access your QuickBooks Online company.
- On the top-right corner, click the Gear icon.
- Under Your Company column, select Payroll settings.
- Go to the Accounting section, and then click the Pencil icon.
- Hover to the Class Tracking section, and then press the Pencil icon.
- Locate the employee that you'd like to edit the class, and then click the dropdown arrow to select the correct class.
- Once done, press the Save button.
