We are getting the error too but if you keep trying, after 5-7 time the file should get accepted.

called CRA at 647pm ... in Ontario .. says Profile is the issue and its been down for hours thier phones are jammed with calls. No idea when will be resolved. Am printing off the error messages what more can be done? great timing maybe its the universe saying we really did need an extension to the deadline after all?? 

I am out in BC and called CRA e-file help desk a couple of hours ago and was told I needed to contact Profile.That was advice they were given from CRA head office.  I tried calling Profile but wait is too long.  I guess I  will just keep trying.

I am in Edmonton as well - had this issue for 3 hours now. On hold with Intuit for the 2 nd time. Last time they blamed the new WIndows update

There are a few firms in Winnipeg MB I am aware of that are seeing the same errors and we aren't all using Profile so this is on CRA not our software providers.  Thank you for the person who posted just keep clicking efile, we will give that a try.

Where is "Profile Duncan" when we need him?

I'm getting the same error code.  Is this a CRA issue or a Profile issue?  Have many late clients that owe.

I just got 4 to go through.  Just keep hitting the Efile button and when you get an error message, hit the EFILE button again.  Took about 15 - 20 tries each but I got them to go through.

IT WORKS !!! Just keep hitting Efile -  I pushed two returns through after abou t7-9 tries each. Frustrating but doable. Profile just posted a pop up message about the error blaming CRA... imagine....lol. 6 hours 37 mins to go...

Clicking repeatedly does work, although its taken over 20+ clicks I can push some through.  Thank you for the info.

26 times to submit one return, others were anywhere between 4-10.  Got the ones owing submitted.

Newfoundland having the same issue.  1 for 4 in the last 30 minutes.  9pm here.  Repeated transmitting does seem to work..10-15 times :(

yes, it took me way long to efile 15 reports I had ready. Just kept trying by the batch. I'd say i efiled the batch about 15 times before all of them were accepted. 

Yes I am too, after a couple of hours it let me efile 1 return and then the next one was back to error code 500.

Yes - I kept trying and got one of the spouses filed but am still trying (hours later) to get the other one through.

I'm in Brampton Ontario. I think it is everyone e-filing with Profile. I've been trying several times since 3:00pm... no luck.

Tried the last one 30 times no luck, have not been able to do anything for 3 hours - is Profile saying anything? It's not just us must be thousands of people. Maybe they could speak for all of us to CRA so we don't waste the time . At least Profile could say in writing its CRA not Profile.  Oh well might as well get a coffee, will be long night.

My last one finally just went through after multiple attempts.

My batch had 24 returns; for some mysterious reasons, 2 of them went through! But on the second try none of the remaining 22 returns did.
