How do I turn off pop up alerts on QB online? I don't need to assign a class for every transaction I don't need to see the alert after every transaction I input.

Welcome to the Community, @sdowell.
We can turn off those pop-up alerts by updating by going to your Account & Settings page. Let me guide you how.
1. On the Gear icon, click Accounts and Settings.
2. Click on Advanced and choose Categories.
3. Under Track classes, untick "Warn me when a transaction isn’t assigned a class."
4. Click on Save.
Please read this article for more information on classes: How Do I Set My Advanced Company Settings?

When you decide to use Class Tracking, yes, you should be using it All the Time. That way, anything Unclassified is easily detected as an input error. Leaving "unclassified = general" means you have no way to confirm if that is the true condition or there were overlooked entry details.

Hello there, @MRusty.
We can enable the Track classes feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to view the Warn me when a transaction isn't assigned a class checkbox.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Under Your Company, click Account and settings.
- Click Advanced, then select the Edit pencil icon under Categories.
- Turn on Track classes.
- Untick the Warn me when a transaction isn't assigned a class.
- Click Save, and then Done.

@Maybelle_S. You may not have noticed that you just repeated the wrong answer from above.
THAT ANSER IS INVALID. THE CHECK BOX DOES NOT EXIST.

I'll make sure that you'll be able to turn off the warning message, MRusty.
I've tried turning off the option that warns users when a transaction isn't assigned a class. and was able to view the checkbox. It could be that the accumulated temporary internet files in the browser are preventing you from viewing this interface. To isolate the issue, you can open your QuickBooks company using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't save cookies and site data. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
- For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
- For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
- For Safari, press Command + Shift + N.
If you're now able to view and untick the Warn me when a transaction isn't assigned a class checkbox, head back to your regular browser and then clear its cache to delete the stored junk files. Switching to other supported browsers can also help fix the issue.
Additionally, here's an article that will help you monitor how each segment of your business is doing: Run reports by class.
You can always find me here if you have follow-up questions about class and location tracking. Have a good one.
