Is it possible to expose bank account details in the QuickBooks Online API response?
We are working with QuickBooks Online APIs and would like clarification on whether it is possible to expose bank account details (such as bank name, account number, or related identifiers) in the API response. Could you confirm if this data can be accessed through the available APIs, and if so, which endpoints or permissions are required?"

We can help clarify this for you about accessing bank account details through the QuickBooks Online (QBO) API, Team-Logicrain.
The QBO API does not provide full bank account details like the complete account number, for security and privacy measures to protect this sensitive data. You may see transaction-related information and the bank account's name (such as "Checking Account"), but never the actual account number.
For other API-related questions, we have a dedicated forum to assist you. It offers software development resources and lets you connect with other developers. Follow the steps below to get started:
- Go to this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/.
- Choose QuickBooks Online under What do you need help with?.
- Click Ask a Question.
- Log in to your existing Intuit Developer Account or create a new one (if you don't have one).
- Enter your concern.
- Press Ask.
You might also want to check out the API Docs & Tools and Blog sections on the Intuit Developer website to keep up with the latest features.
