I am referring to exporting to create the positive pay. Does anyone at Quickbooks know what positive pay is?

Greetings, @Laurie2911
Positive Pay is an automated fraud detection tool. This enable the customers to verify the account number, check number and dollar amount of each check presented for payment against a list of checks previously authorized and issued by the company. As of this time, this feature is currently not available in QuickBooks.
In the meantime, you can visit our Intuit App Center and check for a third-party application that offers the same features as positive pay.
Here's how:
- Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
- From the left pane, click on Apps.
- Search for apps in the search box.
QuickBooks displays the list of applications available that matches the description you entered. Once you find the right app, click on it to open. You can also visit this link for a better view: https://apps.intuit.com/. From there, you can find different apps that are compatible and designed to work with QuickBooks Online.
I'm only a post away if I can be of additional assistance. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week

Hi there, @Laurie2911.
As mentioned by my colleague, you can check our App Center in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for a third-party app with the same feature.
Here's how:
- Go to the App Center.
- Then search for apps in the search field.
In case you want to learn some tricks on managing your QBDT software, you can check our Help articles page for reference.

We use a third party software program called Treasury Software. It integrates with Quickbooks. Works great!

We currently use Treasury Software to upload our Positive Pay files from Quickbooks desktop. Hope this helps!

Yes, there's a way.
Use our BRC PositivePay file Creator - QB Desktop to create your positive pay files. It will automatically get the Print As name from the vendor records.
It includes support for over 160 bank file formats, the ability to add custom user-defined formats.
Also we add new banks on a regular basis on request. If you're bank is not on the list, we can add it for you using the bank's file format requirements.

It is possible to create a custom report in QuickBooks Online.
> go to Reports
> go to the search box (Find report by name) and enter Check detail
> click Customize button
> Report period > change per your needs (daily, weekly)
> Columns (choose the columns your bank needs); I needed:
DATE ACCOUNT NUM AMOUNT NAME
> Filter
> Transaction Type > select Check and Billpayment (check)
> Cleared > select Uncleared
> Account > select the accounts you write checks from
> Header > Report title > Check Detail - Positive Pay Report
Let me know if that works for you. We should not have to go outside the software for such a critical report!

Do you have a video link for your product? How does your product compare to the positive pay from Treasury software?

We don't have a video link. However, you can try the BRC PositivePay file Creator - QB Desktop and/or the BRC PositivePay file Creator - QB Online in trial mode for 30 days to see how it works for you. The trial is fully functional and there is no charge or registration needed to start the trial. Just download and install to start the trial.
I have not used the Treasury positive pay product and so don't know exactly how the tools compare. I did review their site and it appears that both tools do basically the same thing.

Spoke to QB rep, they do not offer "Print name on check as" at all. I have made a submission with product support to please make this available. The only way around it is to make a label under the tab Additional Info, then use this label in our reports, very annoying to have to enter Print name on check as twice
