my bank account is not updating , no transaction pulling through

Unexpected banking issues in QuickBooks Online (QBO) are often caused by the following:

 

  • The bank recently made some changes to its security features or connections.
  • Log-in credentials set up in QBO don't match the online banking login.
  • QBO is unable to connect to your bank's website.

 

Since your bank account isn't updating, the first step to resolve this is to click the Update button to refresh the connection to your bank.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Bank transactions.
  2. Select the bank tile to highlight and click Update.

If the issue persists, you'll need to check your bank's website for any current service issues or alerts:

 

  1. Go to the Banking transactions tab in QBO.
  2. Select the Link account to find and copy the correct URL listed for your bank.
  3. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website using the copied URL.
  4. Check your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  5. Also, check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.
  6. If everything looks good, go back to the Banking transactions tab in QuickBooks, select the blue tile for the bank account and click Update once more.

 

Alternatively, if the issue persists, you can manually upload transactions into QuickBooks. After that, transactions from your accounts will add to your Online Banking.
