Frequent re-authentication requirements occur due to the strict security measures banks employ, Christa. I understand how challenging it can be to repeatedly reconnect your financial institutions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), especially when working with Scotiabank, RBC, Tangerine, ATB, and others. Maintaining a seamless connection is essential for staying on top of your transactions.

Hello there, @Getspruced. I appreciate all your efforts in connecting your bank, and I understand how challenging it can be.
To begin with, could you please specify the bank errors you’ve encountered while trying to connect your bank account? This information will allow me to check our records for any potential bank connection issues. You may have an issue linking or connecting to your bank in QuickBooks Online (QBO) based on the following criteria:
- Your bank has multiple names on our list. Make sure you have selected the correct listing or have tried all possible links. Search by the banking sign-in URL to ensure you’re using the correct listing.
- Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs business accounts).
To ensure the correct account is being linked, I recommend visiting your bank's official website first. Once logged in, copy the bank’s URL and use it for searching and linking in QuickBooks. Here’s how:
- From the left menu, click Transactions and choose Banking.
- On the Banking page, select the Link account.
- In the Search field, enter the bank's URL.
- Select your bank. If you see multiple options, you may have to repeat these steps to find the correct one.
- Enter your bank login on your bank's website, then select Continue.

If the issue still persists, you can contact our Live Support team directly to further review why you’re unable to connect your bank in QBO.
We’re always here to help you if you have any other concerns.

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser. If the same problem persists, use csv2qbo converter tool for the time being. It's a $60 one time license.
