Hello there, randk. I'm here to route you to the appropriate team to address your invoice concerns.
Upon checking here, there's an ongoing investigation (INV-115315) regarding an issue where customers are unable to search for invoices and are receiving the message "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."
That said, I recommend contacting our support team for them to add you to the list of affected users to receive timely updates about the status of their investigation:
- Sign into your QuickBooks Self-Employed company.
- Select Help.
- Search for the question or topic you need help with.
Additionally, here's an article as a future reference about managing your tax profile: Review your tax profile in QuickBooks Solopreneur and QuickBooks Self-Employed.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as our engineers work diligently to resolve this issue. Thank you for your cooperation, randk. Stay safe.

Account management
I started having this problem this morning. I've tried 3 different browsers on 3 different computers (Chrome, Safari and Edge), including the incognito/private mode. When I called Intuit support, they told me it is an issue "since this morning". I was also given a bunch of scenarios saying that they made back-end changes to the user types. However, I changed to user type to "Company Admin" and I still have the same issues. It looks like this issue is not since this morning, but festering for several months.
We are unable to create any invoices either. I feel so helpless with Quickbooks and their lack of proper support to resolve issues in a timely manner.
