I was forced to subscribe a year ago and it has now renewed, with an increase of $450, and I would like to see how the pricing was calculated.

You don't know how the price I was charged was calculated? Was it just a random increase to see what I would pay?
It would help if QB online was not so heavily promoted that QB desktop does not even exist as far as Inituit is concerned. No mention of QB desktop at all in any online resources, including pricing.
