I hope Quickbooks Online works out a way to do this without moving the data to Quickbooks Desktop.  One issue is the extra steps involved.  Another issue is in this day of virtual computers, Quickbooks Desktop says it must be a "native windows" OS.  I have never had a "native widows" machine.  Why would anyone especially in today's virtual computing world?

Is this still the case that the way to get this to work from QBO to Turbotax Desktop Mac is to 

1) install VMware 

2) buy a license to windows 

3) download the trial version of QB Desktop 

JUST TO GET THE TXF FILE?
