Undo reconciliation in the Global QB Online Version.

Hello, in the US version I see there is a "UNDO" Option when I want to return "delete" one reconciliation. But I don't see the same option in the Global Version. Any idea how the same result can be achieved ?

About QB Community

Hello, bakeronline.

I'm hopping aboard and sharing some important information about the availability of the Undo option for the Global versions. I'll also add the steps to help you delete or undo your previous reconciliation.

Some global versions of QuickBooks Online have the Undo reconciliation option. This is only available if you've opened the company from QuickBooks Online Accountant (invited as an accountant user with a firm).

We won't be able to see the option if we're logged in as a regular or an admin user. This is also true if you were invited as an accountant but accessed the company directly without using QuickBooks Online Accountant.

I'll also mention that QuickBooks Online Accountant is only offered in certain countries like the US, UK, or South Africa. It may not be offered on your country's QuickBooks Online website portal.

If you only have a standard QuickBooks Online subscription, we have another option to undo or delete a reconciliation. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the bank account, then click the Account history link.
  3. Take note of the dates of the reconciled transactions. Filter the date range by clicking on the Funnel icon, then changing the range under Dates. Hit Apply after specifying the date or other filter parameters.
  4. The reconciled transactions have an "R" under the checkmark column (see screenshot below). Click the "R" box until it is blank (indicating that we have unreconciled it), then hit Save.
  5. Do this for the rest of the reconciled transactions.
