For Example:

Help Needed for Report for Income by Customer by Year

I'll guide you with pulling a report that shows an income by customer per year, @elo.

The system provides ready-made reports that display the information you need. One of them is the Transaction List by Customer report. You can open it by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click on Reports at the left pane, then look for Transaction List by Customer.
  3. Open the filter.
  4. Make the necessary customization, then group the report by Customer.
  5. Tap on Run report to fresh the page.

The data will show you the customer entries per year. If you need to get the total income for the specific year, you can export the report to Excel, and then add up the amounts from there manually.

  1. Go to the Export icon.
  2. Click on Export to Excel.
  3. Modify the details from there.

I'm also adding this article for more details on how to generate QBO reports to Excel: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, you may memorize your report to save its current customization settings. This way, you don't need to customize it again and again in the future. Here's how: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.
