Can I add payment record to partially paid invoices?

Hello there, Andrew. Yes, you can add payment records to partially paid invoices in QuickBooks Online. I'll be glad to guide you through the process.


To get started, you'll need to navigate to the Sales transactions menu and locate the partially paid invoice. From there, select Receive payment and enter the amount that your customer has paid.


Here's how:
 

  1. Go to the My apps.
  2. In the Sales & Get Paid section, choose Sales transactions.
  3. Locate the partially paid invoice and select Receive Payment.
  4. On the Payment column, enter the payment amount.
  5. Once you've entered the details, click Save and close.

 

The invoice balance in QuickBooks will be updated to reflect the partial payment. You can repeat this process for additional payments until the invoice is fully paid.
