Greetings, tfraser.
Seeing customers cancel their subscriptions is never easy, but we understand your decision and are here to guide you through the process.
If you want to cancel your subscription without permanently deleting your account, please note that after cancellation, you’ll retain read-only access to your data for up to one year. During this time, no changes can be made to your files. After the one-year period, your data will be permanently deleted unless you choose to resubscribe or reactivate.
- Log in to QBO as an admin user.
- Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner and select Subscriptions & Billing.
- Under the QuickBooks section, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Online.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cancellation process.
On the other hand, if you’d like to permanently delete your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and associated data, you’ll need to submit a deletion request. Here’s how:
- Visit accounts.intuit.com in your web browser.
- Navigate to the Data & Privacy section.
- Select Delete and then click Make a Delete Request.
- Choose the account you want to delete, then click Continue.
- Select the products you’d like to delete and click Continue.
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the deletion request.
