You'll be able to use the new estimate layout automatically once our update occurs. No additional steps will be required on your end after Intuit finishes updating.
Here's how you can check if you have the new estimate experience:
Once our update finishes, you'll be able to customize estimates you're sending. There will no longer be a need to manage templates, instead, all of your options will be on each form. QuickBooks will memorize the choices you made and apply them to your next estimate.
Customers receiving emailed estimates will be able to review and approve them online. Once they do, you'll receive an alert.
If you'd like to submit feedback about the transition process while our update is in effect, you can do so while signed in:
Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.
I've also included a detailed resource about about our new estimate update which may come in handy moving forward: See what’s new with estimates
If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have an awesome Monday!
I need a reliable date for the cutover. I had a countdown on the site saying that the new layout would be available today. I have been holding off sending Estimates until the new layout is available. I need to have a reliable date on when the change will take effect.
I need a reliable date on when the cutover will happen. There was a countdown on the website saying the change would happen today. I have been holding off sending estimates until the change occurred. I need to be able to plan what and how the system works. I can not work with a random date in the future when my accounting system will change. How can I either force the change or get a reliable date of when the change will happen?
Hello there, @mharris100.
Let me share information about the update of the new interface of your estimates.
QuickBooks Online Essential users will be prompted to the New Invoice experience this December 11, 2023. Please note that the update will take effect by batch. Once on the updated version, switching to the old interface is no longer available.

This does not answer my question. I still have no idea when the upgrade will happen.
