Is it possible to remove the ads?

There are ads for QuickBooks Payroll, loans, and more throughout. If I click Transactions... the first thing you show me is an ad. If I scan the categories of transactions... you stuffed an ad in there.

If I click Reports... the first thing you show me is an ad. And since the list of reports is under that... and the spot where the ad is *does not scroll out of view*... your reports page uses less than 1/2 of the screen to show me report options! And I'm on a 27" 4K monitor. Just so frustrating.

For the few ads that can be closed, clicking close only closes that one time. It's right back in my way the next time I come back.

And you are raising prices in August.

These ads are not "helping me" learn more about the tool, they are in the way on a paid product. It's cynical and in the way. Please, someone somewhere at Intuit, remove the ads or at LEAST stick them somewhere they don't push your actual application UI down so far.

Is it possible to remove the ads?

The purpose of these ads is to offer guidance and suggestions for enhancing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience, Porter.

Currently, the option to remove the ads from appearing is unavailable. However, we can dismiss them by clicking the or selecting No thanks! button.

Since removing ads is unavailable, I suggest submitting a feedback request to our product developers. This way, they can consider the possibility of removing the ads entirely. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Tap Next to submit.

As a workaround, we can turn on your browser's pop-up blocker to prevent them from showing.

For Google Chrome and Mozilla browsers, here's how:

  1. Click the Lock icon to the left of the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings (Google Chrome) or Permission for this site (Mozilla browser).
  3. Hover to the Pop-ups and Redirects section, and select Block from the drop-down menu.

For Safari browser:

  1. Open a Safari browser.
  2. Click Safari, then Preferences.
  3. Select Websites at the top.
  4. Click Pop-up Windows on the left sidebar.
  5. Then select Block in the pop-up menu for the website.

Is it possible to remove the ads?

Intuit's investors are more important than our experience on their platforms.
Do not expect an option to disable ads.

Ever.

However, there is a workaround I'm using.

Some time ago, in order to undo a reconciliation, Intuit support directed me to make my own accountant profile and added my own company as a client. As far as I can tell, a QBO accountant profile doesn't have ads or promotions (they don't want to bother accountants, but ordinary users are fair game $$$).
