"How do I add the COGS to my sales by product/service summary. The column is there but it's not getting populated."

In QBO, you will need:

1. Plus and Advanced Plan
2. Turn Inventory feature ON
3.  Create Sales Transactions (Invoice and Sales Receipt)

Only the Inventory product/service type will have COGS will show up on the Sales by product/service summary report. On other plans (Essentials and Simple Start) or using Service product/service type will not have the COG show up on this report. You will see the COGS column blank.
