how do i access records from last year

You can use the Reports or Transactions sections and adjust the date filters to access last year's records, White.

To begin with, could you please specify which records you would like to access from the previous year? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

QuickBooks Self-Employed allows you to view past data by selecting the appropriate date range for your reports or transactions. Here are some ways you can view your last year's records.

Through Reports:
  1. Go to the Reports menu, then select the report you want to view.
  2. Look for the Time period or Tax Year dropdown menu at the top of the report.
  3. Select "2024" or a similar option for the last tax year.
  4. The report will be updated to show all your categorized income and expenses for 2024.
  5. You can also choose to View or Download the report.

Through the Transactions List, this method lets you see every single transaction from 2024:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu and look for the filter options, which often include Type, Account, and Time period (or Tax Year).
  2. Click the Time period dropdown and select "2024" or a custom date range for the year.
  3. The list will refresh to show only the transactions that occurred in 2024.

Through the Tax Summary, it is useful if your main goal is to see your totals for tax purposes:

  1. Go to the Taxes section.
  2. You should see an option to view your Tax Summary or Tax Details.
  3. Select the Tax Year dropdown and choose "2024."
  4. It will display the total amounts categorized to the relevant tax lines for that year.
