I'm happy to show you how to enable sales orders in your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac account.

This can be done in a few steps. Here's how:

1. Sign in to the QuickBooks company file as Admin.
2. From the QuickBooks Edit menu, select Preferences.
3. On the left pane, choose Sales & Customers then go to the Company Preferences tab.
4. Select the Enable Sales Order checkbox then select OK.

I am logged in as an admin but there is no Preferences in the Edit menu. This is the problem I am trying to solve - thank you! 

I appreciate the time you've taken to resolve the problem regarding enabling the Sales Order in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac Plus, prints33.

Please note that the Sales Order feature is available only in QBDT Premier and Enterprise. If you need to use packing slip in QBDT, you can create a customized invoice template instead and modify it to function as a packing slip. 

However, if you'd prefer to utilize a dedicated packing slip feature, you can consider exploring third-party applications that offers this functionality.
