I see that you're having trouble with receipts in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app not matching your recorded expense transactions, @ddia84402. QuickBooks automatically tries to match receipts to existing expense transactions based on details such as the amount, vendor name, and date.
If receipts aren’t matching as expected, I recommend the steps below to troubleshoot:
- Verify receipt details before uploading:
- Make sure the receipt’s amount, vendor name, and date closely match the details in the recorded expense transaction in QBO.
- Even small discrepancies in these fields can prevent QuickBooks from recognizing a match.
- Review recorded expense transactions in QBO: Navigate to the Expenses or Transactions tab to confirm that the relevant expense is recorded, categorized correctly, and matches the receipt details.
- Update or reinstall the QBO app:
- Ensure your app is up to date by checking your app store for updates.
- If issues persist, uninstall and reinstall the QBO mobile app to start fresh.
- Manually match receipts: If QuickBooks doesn’t automatically match the receipt, go to the Receipts section via web browser to manually match it. Here’s how:
- Head to All apps and then go to Accounting.
- From the Receipts tab, click Review.
- Select Search for a match.

- Pick a date from the Starting date and Ending date fields.
- Once the expense entry appears, tick the transaction box and then click Match.
