I need to create a copy of a company file to another company file, but the 2 accounts are not on the same QBO account.

We are testing an API integration and we don't want to use our main live production file. We were told we could create a copy of the file to another company data file, but the 2 company files are not on the same QBO account.

I need to create a copy of a company file to another company file, but the 2 accounts are not on the same QBO account.

We're unable to direct transfer or copy QuickBooks Online (QBO) company files between different QBO accounts, Jacob50.

When testing API integrations, it's important to avoid using your live production files. Using a separate test or dummy account can provide a safer way to validate functionality without affecting live operations.

Here are some options to consider:

Please create a new QBO test company in the other account manually and set it up with sample data. To do this, click the Free 30-day Trial button on this page: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/free-trial/.

Next, export data from the live company (e.g., lists and transactions) and then import it into the test company.

Please let me know in the comments if you require further assistance with this matter.

@jacob50

Convert your data to QB Desktop and convert it back to a new QBO account for the trial purpose.
