Intuit/Quickbooks crippled my Desktop version because I wouldnt upgrade

Intuit/Quick books crippled my desktop Pro 2020 when I wouldn't upgrade to 2021 or switch to Online (which only allows 1 account per subscription-greedy).

Intuit turned off the pdf functionality, no problem the workaround is easy, but the biggest was switching off the ability to import QBO/csv/excel account transactions. Strange how the software keeps spitting out marketing crap and sign in reminders though. Will be using another desktop software this year, probably just go back to Excel, found a really good template with fantastic reports and tables built in that rivals the functions Quick books provided, these greedy blackholes. Subscription online only software is a scam, if there was anywhere to file a complaint that would make a difference, I've tried it, there is nowhere, but this wallet will decide

Are you running QB Desktop on Win 11?

I am now, but this problem began as soon as Quickbooks Pro 2020 stopped being "supported" and was deemed obsolete, must have been Win 10. Since then, because of Microsoft's random updates that kill some systems, I have had to reinstall several times, probably 3. That's no reason to cripple a user functionality.

Regarding your PDF issue, you can check the following steps

1 – Search Optional Features in Search Box of Windows 11 PC and then click on search result.

2 – Click on View Features

3 – Search XPS Viewer in the search box and select the check box to the right of the search result which appears.

4- Click on Next and add the XPS viewer to your Windows 11 PC.

Regarding the bank feed feature, you may have 2 options

1. Use an importer tool. It's a $199 one time license + you can get $100 to purchase it through a partner.

2. Use the trial version of QB Desktop 2022 Enterprise as a workaround.

Yeah thank you. appreciate the suggestions, I'm not about to pay $199 for a 3rd party application to solve a problem on a $300 software, new money will be spent on an alternative software package, just need to agree with my CPA on what solution to go with next, that still allows me to run multiple accounts on 1 software, most of the online bookkeeping subscriptions limit a user to 1 account, we run 6 businesses/accounts. Probably have to be an enterprise version, but it wont be Intuit/Quickbooks.

All I do as a fix for the pdf issue is to print as a pdf using MS print to pdf, that issue was a piece of cake.

Best Regards

You can get a free importer tool license legally with a workaround if needed.
