To identify exactly what action is incomplete, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Payroll menu.
- Click on Pay Runs.
- In the Pay run status dropdown, select Incomplete actions or errors.
- Find and select the specific Pay period that has the needed action(s).

- In the Pay period page, go to the Warnings tab.

- From there, you'll see details of what actions are required to complete the pay run, such as missing time approvals, unsubmitted paychecks, or unapproved deductions.
By reviewing the Warnings tab, QuickBooks pinpoints exactly what needs your attention, helping you address incomplete actions and finalize the pay run smoothly.
