this has happened twice. client is sent Super Batch Payment with Bpay details and when I check Quickbooks has cancelled the Batch Payment. As payment was with in the 10 days and am unsure of the next course of action. Do I wait for the payment to be returned ( once again) and reprocess to the client, once again, making me look incompetent. Is there another way to process super?
Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand that you have to deal with delayed client payments especially when it impacts critical obligations, Nikk.
One of the key reasons a Beam super batch payment has been cancelled is due to inaccuracies in the payment details, such as the amount and reference numbers entered. If these details fail to match the exact specification provided, the system can automatically reject the batch payment to prevent errors or misallocations.
Beam requires the payment details to match the batch information, otherwise, the system won't be able to link the two together. When entering the reference number, you'll have to include only the digits of the reference number. Any additional text such as as 'Ref', 'Reference Number', 'Ref #' will result in the batch being cancelled and the payment returned.
You'll notice the batch cancellation approximately 10 business days after the batch submission date, accompanied by email notification. Refunds for the payment can take up to 12 business days to process and return. Once the batch is cancelled, you'll need to create a new batch and initiate a fresh payment to resolve the issue.
However, if it has been more than 12 business days and the payment has still not been refunded, I recommend reaching out to our support team so they can review your account securely and conduct an investigation into the issue.
