I have categorised and added transactions. They still appear in the 'Review' tab, supposedly with some amount outstanding. why?

I have used QB for several years, this has not happened previously. I have tried recalling and redoing transaction categorisation. I've switched off QB and logged back in. still the same.

Before we begin, could you please confirm if, after matching and categorizing a transaction, it appears in the Categorize tab?

 

If the transaction appears in the Categorize tab and still remains in the For Review tab with an outstanding amount, it could mean that QuickBooks has received a duplicate of the same transaction from your bank, causing it to reappear in the For Review tab.

 

To resolve this issue, I recommend manually updating your bank transactions to ensure all the latest transactions are downloaded. Once updated, review and exclude any duplicate transactions.

 

Here's how to manually update your bank transaction:

 

  1. Go to Accounting and select Bank transactions.
  2. Click the Update button.

 

If the issue persists after manually updating and excluding duplicates, I suggest reaching out to your bank to check if there are any notifications or issues related to sending the same transaction multiple times.
