Hi there, @snoble405.

First, I appreciate your idea to add new options for greetings. Currently, there's isn't a way to do this, but you can enter personalised greeting before the message text on the email.

You can customise the sales form template within QuickBooks Online to enter the greetings manually. Let me show you how:

  1. At the top right, click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. In the Custom form styles lists, select the template.
  4. Go to the Emails tab.
  5. Remove the checkmark in the Use greeting box.
  6. Enter your greeting.
  7. Hit Done.

Another option is to add the greeting when you're ready to send the transaction. Simply enter it in the Message field.

I've attached some articles you can use to customise the form content, as well as some links to send sales forms to multiple email address:

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions. Have a great day ahead.

An option to create at least one custom gretting should be a feature of QB online.

I too would like more control over greetings to my clients particularly on invoice and reminder emails.  I agree with @snoble405 that "Dear" is too formal.

The problem would be solved if I could use a place saver so that the client's name is automatically populated but [First] and {First} inserted into the body of the email aren't working for me - should I be doing something else?

I guess I will continue to manually enter greetings and client names above the prefilled part of my template.
